Obituary of Isabel Scobie

(nee Horsburgh)

 

With heavy hearts we announce that our family’s Matriarch passed away peacefully at Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew on Tuesday morning, November 5th, 2019. She was 92. Beloved wife for over 75 years of James. Dearly loved mother of Hugh (May) of Arnprior; Sandra Quade (Clarence) of Quadeville; Jim (Karen) of Arnprior; Isabel Bigras (Marc) of Cornwall; Neil of Arnprior and Eoin (Fanny) of Pakenham. Predeceased by a daughter, Helen Nicholas as well as a son, Robert (Sandra) who passed away Novemeber 8th, 2019. Cherished and proud “Gramma” of 25 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Agnes Brown (late Steve) of Australia. Daughter of the late Hugh and Agnes (nee Wilson) Horsburgh, Isabel was also predeceased by her 3 brothers: Hugh, Harry and Boicey Horsburgh as well as 3 sisters, Lizzy, Lil and Vere. Isabel’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation was held on Monday, November 11th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning, November 12th from 9:30 to 10:15. A Funeral Service was conducted in her beloved St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 80 Daniel Street North, Arnprior  on Tuesday morning, November 12th at 11 o’clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior a luncheon followed in the deRenzy Hall of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. In memory, please consider a donation to The Canadian Cancer Society.
