Obituary of Dorothy Plager

1927 – 2019

 

With heavy hearts we announce that our Mom and Granny passed away peacefully at The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior with loved ones by her side on Saturday, November 9, 2019. She was 92. She has now been reunited with her husband, Rev. Virgil Plager (1966) as well as her son, Larry (2016) (Laurie of Ottawa), her granddaughter, Sarah Diotte (2001) as well the many who were waiting for her to come home. She will be forever loved and remembered by her children: Alton (Jennifer) of Pakenham; daughters: Karen Dotto (Laurie) of Richmond and Sue Diotte (Sue Seath) of Arnprior. Devoted and proudest Granny of 6 grandchildren: Jess Plager, Joelle Jibb (Jason), Hilary Dotto-Nudo (Matt), Stephanie Berghello (Chris) and Katie Mintha (Josh) as well as 7 great-grandchildren: Maddie, Athena, Quinn, Apollo, Sloane, Harper and Joey. Dear sister of Myrtle Maveety (late Bob) of Arnprior. Dear daughter of the late Lawrence and Tillie (nee McKortle) Jesmer. Dorothy’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where friends called during visitation on Thursday evening, November 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. and again after 10 a.m. on Friday. A Funeral Service was conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Luncheon followed with interment at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior afterward.
