Well mom it’s been 5 years since you have been gone. I finally got the strength to read these. I miss you terribly everyday and still can’t believe you are gone. Not sure how I have been getting through these years without you. You took a huge part of me the day you left, you would be so proud of your grandson Kaleb. He is so smart and caring to everyone. He will be graduating high school next year. I still go through your texts on my phone and will never delete them, wish I could hear you say, I love you my baby, you weren’t ready to go and that’s what saddens me. I wasn’t ready to live without you. I hope you are resting easy mom. I love you big pile.
Richard, Rufus, Amanda, and family, I was so sorry to hear of Maxine’s passing. While I knew she had been sick for years this is still unexpected. The three of you and Kaleb were her most precious possessions and I am sure you will miss her greatly. I am thankful that Richard brought her out to my daughter’s a few years ago so we could spend the afternoon together and talk about old times. I regret that we didn’t get to do it more often due to her failing health. She was always such a loyal friend to so many. Take comfort in each other and that fact that she is no longer suffering. She will be missed by so many people. Bless you all.

Mandy & Rufie, your mom and my mom (Winnie) were close friends and I remember your mom being at our house quite often.
She seemed to have a 6th sense about when I would be home from University.... usually within a few hours of me getting home she would call to ask when I would be making Chinese food. Lol
Of course, I always made some and she always came and had her share.
I have many fond memories of Maxine as I am sure all of you do.

My sincere condolences in the passing of Maxine. I met Maxine many years ago while we were both in a computer course. She was quite the gal, always making people smile . We didn’t see each other after that, Not realizing she only lived on the street behind me. Taken far too soon.

I met Maxine while working at Abbott Point of Care. Her, Evie and myself became quite close friends. That was almost 20 years ago now... I nicknamed her Junior.
Later, I would become friends with Amanda when I joined on the night shift. It was clear to me that both these girls were the type you wanted in your life. Funny, kind and absolutely one of a kind with their genuine nature.
My heart is sad at the news of her passing. Sad for her family. Sad for her dear friends. Sad for Evie...
But I know also, Maxine would be the first to say not to be. She was so selfless.
Rest now Maxine. Junior. From time to time drop a hint to your family that you very much still exist, and show them you are with them please.
