On behalf of the McCallum family, our deepest condolences on the passing of Morden. I was so glad to have seen him recently with my dad, and I knew the two have had a special bond since childhood.
While officially it was "Cousin Morden", he always felt like an uncle to me, and I will remember very fondly our family trips to Montreal, Calgary, and Burlington. By happy circumstances we both landed in the Ottawa area, and I am especially appreciative of the times Morden treated to me to a Senators hockey games when I was a “poor” university student.
As others have mentioned, Morden was at ease with people from all walks of life, and he had many great stories. He took a genuine interest in the lives of others, and was always curious and insightful about about all manner of world affairs. He will be dearly missed.
