Dear Linda.....don’t remember if I wrote you but was going through some obituaries because Jane doesn’t always let us know about friends. In this case we didn’t know Bill well but he gave me some nice compliments regarding my art and i’ll Never forget that. I’m so sorry to hear that he passed and will remember both of you in my prayers. Bob has been diagnosed with Alzheimers and it hasn’t been fun.....we just go day to day hoping things might get better but that’s not going to happen ...I miss everyone there and wish I hadn't moved.... take care and stay safe in these weird times........Laurie

I was very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I enjoyed many interesting email conversations with Bill in the past four years, as he prepared illustrations for two of the bridge books written by me and my writing partner, Harry. These ranged well beyond the books and cartoons and I formed an impression of a warm, intelligent and kind man. I was looking forward to picking up where we had left off with our new manuscript.
As someone who quit one career at 40 to pursue my true interests I had some idea where he was coming from with his leap away from dentistry.
My condolences to his family and those who knew him better than I did, from Scotland.

Linda, Jonathan and Andrew. You helped us settle into Arnprior back in 1971. Linda, you and Bill welcomed us to this community, introduced us to some "wicked" Indian cooking, entertained us with some wonderful musical moments and made us laugh with Bill's talented cartooning abilities. We have such great memories of Bill. He was a special man and will be greatly missed.
With love. Randy and Lenna Whyte

Linda How many times I was sent to Bill's Father to be looked after for many maladies as a young child. Then to Bill as a friend and dentist I took Kim & Michael to Bill himself.. When you lived on Riverview in Arnprior I saw both of you quite often and heard your beautiful voice wafting out the window as I went on my daily walks. Love and condolences to you and your family.
Bill rest in peace

It is with extreme sadness that we will publish the first issue of theHumm without a Bill Buttle "ArtBeat" in February. Bill has been a stalwart contributor for two decades, and page 2 just won't be the same without his quirky and humorous take on life and art. Our deepest condolences to Linda and the rest of the family. We can only imagine how deeply he will be missed by those closest to him.

I'm so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. When I was in high school, Bill drove the bus on White Lake Road. I would often sit behind him, and we would talk about life and music. He was genuinely one of my favorite people in this world. So warm, and so wise. My condolences to the family. Rest in peace, Bill. I will always remember you.

Linda and family - I am so sorry for your loss, he was such a great man - overflowing with talent from all directions. Going through my mother and father's things after my mom died, I found many cartoons, poems, photos that documented the many shenanigans that defined "the Bills" friendship over the years. Sending you much love in this sad time - Suzanne Tubb (Daughter of Bill and Kathleen Jordan)

Dear Linda and family;
Our deepest and most sincere condolences to all of your family in the loss of a dear husband, father, and grandfather. Bill was one of kindest souls that Donnie and myself have ever met. Reading in sadness and retrospect the obituary, makes us realize even deeper, the great friend we have lost. We were so very fortunate, to have shared in Bill’s cartoons, his art work { which we will forever cherish}, his insatiable sense of humour, as well as working on his beloved 1966 Volvo, that he so proudly told us, on many an occasion,, he “bought for Linda”. In addition,, we also were blessed by his talent for music at our annual piano parties. May all of your precious memories sustain and bring all of the family comfort throughout the difficult days ahead. Sincerely, Suzanne and Don Laughlin.
