Dear family of Carl,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked for Carl at the Oshawa stores. I was a student and if I worked the night shift he made sure I had a ride home. He never left his staff with any worries. Over the years whenever we met, before he moved to New Brunswick, he would talk and reminisce of the good old days. He will always have a special place in my heart. Love Brenda nee Cairns

So very sorry to hear Carl has passed. This sure brings back many memories of working for Carl at the DQ in Oshawa and Whitby. He sure was good to me. We worked hard but had fun. I remember Joan and I tried to outdo each other in fancy rings too.
And to think he ended up in Almonte where my mom Ruth Munro Sharpe was from. In sympathy, Ellie Steele (nee Sharpe)

Shari, Bob and Taylor were in Florida, Carl was looking after their house and doberman (Oshawa). He called Dave and I to come quick as the do had eaten their bed. We went yah - making that one up... anyway we did go over to their house and yes the dog did eat their bed - poor Carl - standing there heart broken - wondering what we could do.... got my trusty needle out, fitted sheet, stuffed all the stuffing back into the mattress, turned it over - made the bed. He was so relieved that we had fixed the bed. of course we had to tell the kids they needed a new mattress when they came home.... We had many many good times and many good memories with Carl - I miss him already... my love to all the Kelly, Sloan families - you are in my thoughts and prayers
Love Janet Kelly
