We were very saddened to hear of Mary's passing. I got to know her as a classmate during our senior year at VAHS in Shawville and later on when the guys played ball in Ottawa she was often at the games. Our family was so saddened to hear of Mary's passing. Time and distance and illnesses all take a toll on families, keeping them apart. None of us had seen Mary for many years, but that does not diminish the memories we all shared, especially of the good times in Vinton when we were all just the "little cousins." We will all remember Mary fondly. Our hearts go out to the Donnelly and McBane families.

So saddened to hear of Mary’s passing. So happy we were blessed to get together with friends for lunch a few years ago. Enjoyed the stories she told of her girls and her precious granddaughter. I grew up with Mary attending school, playing many sports on the same team and singing in the choir. Life has taken her through many challenges which she faced with such courage and determination. Mary was a great person, always smiling and ready to give a helping hand to anyone at any time. She played broomball and softball with all the cousins and girls from Vinton. Mary was a champion and instrumental in leading the team to many softball and broomball victories. She will be missed. I remember Mary from Victoria Ave. High School and then just 2 years ago, ran into her at The Villa in Arnprior when she was a resident there - as I go there to visit my Aunt Merle (who is 104). Mary, Merle, Enis and I always played euchre every time I went to visit. She loved her game of euchre. I am sorry to hear of Mary's passing; my heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow. I was so sorry to hear of Marys passing. I was fortunate to have had a wonderful conversation with her just a week ago. Mary and I had lots of laughs and wonderful times back when we all lived in Orleans.
Our girls played together while we had our coffee chats, and after she moved to Arnprior we would meet half way for our outings. I cant remember a time when Mary wasnt smiling. She never complained and was always positive and she loved her girls unconditionally. Mary, my friend, you will be sadly missed but always in my heart and my memories.
