I am so saddened by this news. Richard was not only my professor in the '80s, but he was someone I played trivia with at the Port Arthur Brew Pub in the '90s. I fondly remember meeting up with him and other professors to outwit our competitors. He was a serious player, and we all enjoyed a few fun years meeting up to chatter, play and enjoy each other's company. He was such a respectful and kind man. Memories of Richard - in the classroom and in the pub playing trivia - bring a smile to my face. My condolences to his family.
