Our sincere condolences to Jim & Bev, Wayne & Iris, Debbie& Jeff and families on the loss of your dear mom grandmother, & great grandmother. We will always remember Kathleen as a sweet, unassuming, kind woman. We got to know Kathleen when we were brought into the extended Kauffeldt clan by Bev; especially Rose! Kathleen, the gentle matriarch, was always there; be it the Fish& Game dinner dances, the girls’ shopping wkends in Kingston, the camps at Joyce’s Lake and on and on! We had so much fun! We will greatly miss her. Much love,
Rose, Catherine Baxter Combermere ON

As others have shared here, Kathleen was a very special person with a gentle soul and a heart bigger than her body. I always loved going to visit family in Quadeville on the weekends when I was growing up. A weekend wasn't complete without a trip to the store, or several to see Aunt Kathleen and Uncle Garnet. Back then, a dollar would get you chips and a pop, but somehow at the store it also magically got you an extra chocolate bar, a little paper bag full of Swedish berries or whatever other savory confection you were craving. And more often than not, it wouldn't cost you anything at all. Funny how when I got older and I started traveling home with my husband, gasoline for the ride home somehow also had this magical discount applied.
The little piece of the universe that Kathleen carved out for herself during her lifetime, will now sadly be a large void. But her generosity, compassion, and empathy for others, not to mention her laugh, will resonate far more loudly than the void will. Thankfully memories of Kathleen will keep a little bit of her with all of us, forever.
My sincere condolences to Kathleen's immediate family. You're in our thoughts and lots of love is being sent your way.
Pam and Mike xoxo

Kathleen has always been a special person to me while living in Quadeville and all these years after. Her quiet manner, with that glint in her eye, is unforgettable! She was there for me during thick and thin--that special person, right when you needed one. I suspect she made everyone feel special, because that's just Kathleen. Gentle hugs to each of you in the family. I have a tear in my eye, but a big smile on my face as I think of her! I will be thinking of all of you. Julie Levi, Combermere
