Obituary of Joy Newman

(nee Talbot) Following a lengthy illness, Joy Frances Mary Newman; formerly of Toronto passed away peacefully at Caressant Care in Cobden on Tuesday evening, August 18, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Clifford “Cleve” Newman and by former marriages: the late James Walker and the Arthur Tate. Much loved mother of Jim Tate (Debbie) of Renfrew; Vicki Tate (Paul Boulet) of Mississauga and Lori Janson-Newman of Toronto. Lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren: Carli Libbus (Mike), Stacey Tate, Donny Tate (Brandy Poole), Adam Tate (Ashley), Robin Bull (late Jim) and Allison Marshall (Jeffrey); 11 great-grandchildren: Jacob, Sydney and Cooper Libbus, Ella and Griffin Tate, Nash Tate, Amy Bull (Josh Adams), Tyler Bull, Matthew Swackhammer, Jordan and Gemma Marshall and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Layla Adams. Daughter of the late James and Ethel (nee Paterson) Talbot. Joy was predeceased by her 2 brothers: Francis “Frank” and William “Bill” Talbot. Joy’s final arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
