I had the pleasure of meeting Mervin and Doreen through my parents, Ben and Theresa Surnoski, when they retired to Renfrew. I spent time chatting with them over coffee, and later enjoyed visits at the Bonnechere Manor. I'm very thankful for the care and help he gave my mother after Dad passed away. Both my sisters and I have fond memories of visiting with Mervin, and I feel like I lost another Grandpa.

My sincerest condolences to Debbie and all of Mervin's family. I met (Uncle) Mervin and (Aunt) Doreen, Debbie, Robbie and Cindy when I moved to Arnprior in 1966. Mervin was a quiet, kind and gentle man and father, and Doreen was the best mom you could have, next to my own. Debbie and I always chummed togther, and I'll always keep those fond memories in my heart. ❤
