Larry Seguin February 2, 1950 – September 4, 2020 With his children by his side, Lawrence ‘Larry’ Madison Seguin of Guelph, Ontario passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2020, in Renfrew Victoria Hospital, Renfrew, Ontario at a young age of 70, after a very brief yet courageous battle against Cancer. He was the son of the late Glen & Helen (Miller) Seguin. Loving Father to Cheryl (Lorne) of Renfrew & David (Michelle) of Arnprior and cherished Poppa to Erin (Jessie) & Brittany (Kingsley); Tyler, Josh, Amy & Ryker. Amazing Brother to Bill (Janet) and Uncle to Jennifer; Ryan & Caitlin. Predeceased by his brother Glen & niece Laura. He will be remembered by extended family in Canada and the U.S.; friends and neighbours in the Guelph area, especially long-time friend Sandy Massengale & her family, and his children’s mother Sandra Sproule. Born in Ottawa, Larry grew up in a military family with stops along the way in North York, Goose Bay, 4-Wing Germany, Metz France and back to Ottawa. Larry joined the Canadian Forces in 1968 and did one tour at the top of the world at Canadian Forces Station Alert. He then went on to have a full and rewarding career (and retired from) with Corrections Canada. His absolute love of music provided him the opportunity to excel as a drummer and he played in several bands along his journey. The last being with “Bad Neighbours” a few short years ago. Final care and arrangements were entrusted to Pilon Family Funeral Home, 50 John Street North, Arnprior. Many thanks to all the wonderful Palliative Care Team members at Renfrew Victoria for the exceptional care and support received during Larry’s last week of life. A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be followed by a private family interment to take place at a later date in St. John’s Cemetery, Innisville, Ontario.
