Thinking of Donna brings back good memories. My favorite memory, of course, was being best man at Donna and Lyall's wedding. It doesn't seem like 50 years ago.
What I remember most about Donna was her infectious laugh. She loved to laugh and have fun. This is just one anecdote. When my brother got married, Donna and I made a JUST MARRIED sign, complete with cupids and hearts and flowers. We snuck over to his apartment building at night and taped the sign to a window with the blinds closed. We were hoping that drivers along Portage Ave would honk their horns for the newlyweds when they saw the sign. We were very proud of ourselves; and laughed all the way home.
When I first met Donna, she worked at Dusessoy's. Dusessoy's is long gone but the building still stands, and whenever I visit Winnipeg and pass by it, it reminds me of her.
Although we didn't live close to each other in recent years, I'm glad we managed to stay in touch. I will miss our phone conversations; and exchanging cards, letters, and pictures at Christmas.
To Lyall, Darryl, and Eddie, my thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear of Donna’s death. As cousins we spent lots of time together as kids but not as much in our older years. I will always have fond memories of Donna as we visited between nipigon and Elliot lake. Sincere sympathy to you Lyall who took such wonderful care of her and to Darryl and Eddie. Lorna and Alan

Denice and I send our condolences to Lyall and his family for their great loss. I have great memories of Donna beginning with visits between families when we were quite young until recent years when she and I shared many pictures and stories while exploring our ancestry. My cousin, Donna, always had a kind heart and happy spirit and she brought joy to many.

Our condolences to Lyall, Daryl and Eddie. Donna was my very dear friend. We have known
each other for many years. We spend time together lots when in Winnipeg. Since Donna and
Lyall moved to Ontario we kept close by phone and talked every few days. She was someone
you could depend on and she had a hard life with health but she never complained and fought
a hard battle. She is now at peace. We have a angel watching over us now. John and Maxine
