Sincerest condolences to Terry, Denice, Bonnie, Mark and your families.
The best times of my younger self was all about being included in the family, at the cottage. What great memories, that I now share with my grandkids. My life was richer because of Yvonne and Romeo. Auntie lives on, through her wonderful family, that she loved so much. I am so glad Yvonne was there for me.
Thinking of you all.
Love, Jeannette Vincent-Stevenson

Terry, Denice, Bonnie, Mark and families,
So sorry for your loss.
Very fond memories of your lovely mom Yvonne
So many good times years back:
Saturday evenings Sunday afternoons leaving from the Eady skidoo shack heading through the bush and cross country on those old snow machines. Yes there was always the pot luck on the wood stove warming and awaiting our return.
Then in the spring, snow nearly gone heading to the sugar bush. Lots of work, lots of fun. More food, Yvonne sure could make good Maple sugar suckers! Romeo also left many treat in the old refrigator (all nature cooled) from the bread truck (out of date of course). But oh so delicious after collecting sap and waiting for the boil down.
Treasure the memories they will always be there for you.
RIP Yvonne
Dance with your love and best friend Romeo

When I was a child and heard that we were going to Aunt Yvonne's and Uncle Romeo's cottage it would feel like Christmas morning. Excitment levels were high to enjoy Uncle Romeos boat rides, horseshoe tournaments and the Donald Duck food truck and of course the world famous kitchen of Aunt Yvonne. Forgive my spelling but if you ever had her gleasons and homemade bread you would never want to leave. Later the summer visits turned into 4 season visits, sugar bush, ice fishing etc.. and Aunt Yvonne never disappointed. She was a tiny women with big heart. The sparkle in her eye and her little mischievous smile made you feel welcomed the moment you saw her. People talk about a family matriarch but if you ever wanted to meet one in real-life my Aunt Yvonne was one. Sandy and I send all our cousins big love and hugs to hopefully help you through this trying time. Hopefully we will all meet in person to celebrate her life and enjoy an Aunt Yvonne meal if Terry and Anne have perfected the gkeason recipe. Love you all

Our deepest condolences to Terry, Denice, Bonnie, Mark and your families on the loss of your mother. May the fond memories you have of her bring you solace in these difficult times. We’re sorry we can’t be there to grieve with you. We have many great memories of the many days we spent at Auntie Yvonne’s and Uncle Romeo’s cottage on the Ottawa River in Braeside. We were always welcome with open arms, and so we’re our friends. Lots of food, lots of gas, never a complaint. Boating, waterskiing, fishing, and sometimes misbehaving... what great memories!

To The Godin Family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Yvonne. There were many good times had on Bank Street and it was always a race home from school in order to get our Joe Louis fix from Romeo. It was nice to have a family friend at The Grove when Mom was a resident there. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. God Bless ~ Debbie & Michael Sul

So sorry to hear of your Moms passing. I hold so many wonderful memories playing at your house. That crazy clock in the kitchen, the smell of Noxema that she used, always a box of chocolates on the counter ... all with a bite out of them, the dares as to who of us kids could stay in the longest in the cold storage, and oh, so many more. Your Mom was always so welcoming no matter what mischief we got up to. She offers comfort even now, knowing she is resting with Melvin and Romeo. You are in our thoughts and prayers. My deepest condolences to all of Aunt Yvone’s family. We had such great visits as kids. We were just talking about the sugar shack to our kids over the Xmas break. So many memories of aunt Yvonne and her amazing hospitality. Always making us kids feel like it was her pleasure to have us around mucking about her house/cottage and sugar shack.
With love,
André

Aunt Yvonne will be remembered by many of our family who were lucky to share wonderful times at the Braeside home and Godin sugar bush. Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Romeo loved welcoming visitors and treated everyone to a fun time, delicious food and boat rides or fishing from their dock on the Ottawa River. One of my fondest memories is of Aunt Yvonne getting us all to line up as she proudly served us a homemade maple syrup taffy on a stick. Every time I enjoy one to this day, I am reminded of Aunt Yvonne and good family times.
Our prayers are with all of you as you go through this difficult time.
