Obituary of Donald "Don" Redmond

On Monday, January 11, 2021, Donald passed away peacefully at Garden Terrace Long Term Care in Kanata. He was 81. Our gratitude to all the staff for their care and kindness - they are simply the best! Don leaves behind his devoted wife of 60 years Barbara (Brady); his children, Mary-Lynne “Mini" (Charles Reid), Patti, Dan (Amy Nishio) and Sean. He loved and was very proud of his grandchildren Liam (Samantha), Conor, Paige, and Islay. He will be truly missed by his dear sister Maureen (Gary Nadon); his brothers Mike, Kevin and Jim and his biggest fan and favourite cousin Betty (Mike Maheux). Don always had a special place in his heart for the Morin and Gow families - they treasured him as well. Don had a terrific sense of humour and incredible work ethic. This summer, when possible, the extended family hopes to be able to hold a tribute gathering for “Big Don” on Radiant Lake, Algonquin Park, where he spent so many happy hours. Don's final care and arrangements were entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
