We are so sorry to hear if Hugh’s passing. Hugh was always friendly, courteous and interesting to chat with over a cold one at the Legion or a private gathering spot with a few laughs. I knew his brother Ken I remember him fondly from Tony’s shoe repair.
Our most sincere condolences to the family.

Although I didn't know him long the times spent together having an afternoon beer at the Legion was always a pleasure, listening to his stories and sometimes music. My fondest memory of Hugh will be the selfless volunteer work he contributed to support the Poppy Campaign year to year delivering wreaths and crosses to homes and business and asking for nothing, or expecting nothing in return. He was a good man and I will always remember him that way. My sincerest condolences, and sympathies, Xavier Brooks

Remember Hughie fondly from the Legion, always took the time to have a small chat about current events. He would always sit at the table with the Ottawa Citizen open going over the said events. RIP my friend

I had the opportunity to work alongside Hugh at the Arnprior Legion when we both served on the Board. For sure he was one of the most hard working and dedicate Legion members. He treated folks with respect. He and Peggy were the best couple.
My condolences to all of Hugh's family and friends.
