While working at LBL Contracting, I moved snow with Mr. Barr a few times 10-15 years ago & have fond memories of sharing a couple middle of the night coffee breaks at Mac's Milk beside Almonty Milano's while he played scratch tickets or maybe casino style pull tickets.
Every time I see 1 of the Manson's in his old rig I think of him.
Probably even more now.

Sincere Condolences and Sympathy Gayle, Barr, Gilmour families. Pakenham has lost another, well respected true 'character'.
Books are written on stories and memories. In Garnie, a book could be filled with either. Family, Community and Friends were always on his priority list and he did not disappoint. Pride in equipment - immaculate, work and support of community initiatives and events - never missed a fastball game or opportunity to attend good 'old' Pakenham parties. Not always the first to arrive, but could be counted on to be one of the last to leave and (on occasion) even extending into the next day? Well respected friends and the 12th Concession 'connection' were the brunt of many practical jokes initiated by Garnie.
A pleasure to be considered friends and will be sadly missed.

We are so sorry to hear of Garnie’s passing. My heart goes out to all of you and especially “Mother”. Garnie was a thinker , a true gentleman and had one hell of a wit about him at all times. Always willing to lend a hand, shoot the breeze and even bend an elbow if the timing was right because it was always 5 o’clock somewhere. He leaves behind him a great lady and his children that will miss him dearly. They have so many fond memories of the guy that everyone liked that there isn’t a book big enough to hold them all. I know for a fact he is amongst some wonder people now that shared his passion for a good time and now that one of their best chums has joined them they will be kicking up their heels once again making some more memories together.
