Obituary of Jonathan MacIntyre

December 10, 1967 - April 22, 2021 With broken hearts we share the passing of John MacIntyre, April 22nd, 2021 in the care of the Ottawa General Campus ICU Team. John will be forever missed by his soulmate and partner in crime, Kelly MacIntyre (nee Herrick). “You’ve made me laugh when I was sad, picked me up when I was down, and cheered me on through difficult journeys. I am eternally grateful to have had such a special man in my life.” A devoted son of Sandra MacIntyre (Late Mac), of Braeside and brother of Lisa MacIntyre, of Ottawa. Loving father and role model of Hayley Sevigny (Mike) of Pakenham and Cameron MacIntyre (Sarah Bourgeau) of Galetta. John also leaves behind the light of his life, his granddaughter Flynn Sevigny and her long awaited baby sister. He tried his hardest to stay with us long enough to meet you but it was just too hard. You brought him pure joy in the hardest of times and on his most difficult days. A son and brother to the Herrick family from day one and he will be missed so much. Last but not least to the friends who have been checking in, we know he is a rich man because he has been so loved. John fought the greatest battle of his life and in true John fashion, his greatest worry has been how we could all take care of each other when was no longer able. Thank you to the Renfrew County Paramedics, the Arnprior Regional Health Team and the General Campus ICU Team for your outstanding compassion for each of us as we have been on this unexpected journey. Special thanks to Julie and Katherine for giving John ‘his last good day’ and our last real smile, it will never be forgotten. Our family will be celebrating John’s life privately but we ask you to continue to share your stories of John and his humor and smiles with your families and friends. We know John would appreciate donations to be directed in his memory to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation. In the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. Every Day in Heaven is NFL Sunday and the Bruins are always in the playoffs.
