Obituary of Frank Besco

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our father, Paul Frank Besco. Frank passed away peacefully on the morning of April 27th, 2021 in the care of the Ottawa Civic Hospital Palliative team. He was just 5 weeks shy of his 90th birthday. The youngest of 5 children, all born in Hafford, Saskatchewan, Frank was predeceased by his brothers Joe, Pat, John, and sister Jean. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Laverdiere) who is now 92. Father of Bruce Besco (Carol), Scott Besco (Elyse), Dr. Janice King (David), and Sharon Besco. Loving grandfather of 11: Randy, Gillian, Maxwell, Bradley, Ryan, Tyler, Cassandra, Spencer, Alexander, Kyla and Brianna. Great grandfather of 4: Carolina, Samuel, Arthur and Monty. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Frank always loved visiting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially when he got to take them to their sports games and music lessons. He enjoyed woodworking and was skilled enough to build his own home as well as 2 different cottages. He was proud to be Trustee for the York Catholic School Board and even helped to work on the Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow, Mach 1.9 in 1958. Frank’s final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. Arrangements will remain private.
