Obituary of Christie Garrard

(Community Living Renfrew County South) With great sadness, Christie’s family announce that he passed away at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Saturday afternoon, May 8, 2021; Christie Andrew Garrad of Renfrew was 61 years of age. Dear son of the late T. Ross and Lois (nee Christie) Garrard. Dear brother of Donna Charron (Paul). Uncle of Julie Gingras (Rob) and Jason Charron (Sandra). Great-Uncle of Dawson, Akaydia and Brayden Gingras, Reilley, Savannah and Bentley Charron. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family and the staff of Community Living Renfrew County South. Christie loved life! He loved to dance and would rock out any time he could. We are sure he’s dancing away right now watching over us. Christie had the most amazing laugh. It was contagious. You couldn’t help but laugh yourself when you heard it. No one ever wanted to get in front of the man and his magazines. He would spend hours looking at the pictures and loved each and every kind. And cheesies! His favorite! He was a lady’s man. He loved his friends and wasn’t afraid to show it. He was a sly guy and had a mischievous personality. He loved to laugh. Christie lit up the room. Anyone who’s ever met Christie has been loved by one of the kindest, gentlest men there ever was. His heart was so big. He loved his roommates and they loved him. He will be missed greatly. Christie’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
