Obituary of Pierce Koch
Surrounded in love by his family and friends, Pierce Koch passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Beloved son of Jacqueline and Stephen and cherished younger brother of Keira. Adored grandson of Carol and John Gilmette and Betty and Manfred Koch. Much-loved nephew of Jay and Sue Koch and Travis and Lisa Gilmette, and dear cousin of Layni Gilmette. Pierce will be greatly missed by the extended Gilmette and Koch families, his best friends Kaden, Nolan and Connor, as well as classmates and teachers at ADHS, and his furry buddies Chloe and Milo.
Pierce lived every day of his short 15 years with a passion and love for the outdoors. He was a true Valley boy who was happiest when he was fishing, hunting, skidooing, playing sports or out riding trails on his dirt bike. P – you touched all of our lives and we will always remember your kindness, gentle spirit and sense of adventure.
Thank you to the amazing team in the pediatric intensive care unit at CHEO, their compassion for our family will never be forgotten.
