Obituary of Charles "Bill" Knox

Peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Sunday morning, July 11, 2021 in his 87th year. Predeceased by his beloved parents Charles Arthur SR and Dorothy (nee Kay) Knox and his siblings Frank, Cecilia and Bonnie. Dear Father of Robert, Elaine, Lorraine (Murray), Joanne (David) and Michael. Proud Grandpa to Eric (Crystal) and Samantha. Bill had two great loves in his life, his family; especially his wife, Eliane and his Ad Agency. He was truly an independent thinker who loved knowledge, history, and keeping up with world and local news. He lived a full life, growing up going to Wasaga Beach at Knox Kabin right on Georgian Bay, where he continued to go throughout his life. He moved to Montreal when he was 21 years old and met the love of his life Eliane (nee Goulet) and raised his family there. He was a strong man who persevered through heart disease (60-72 yrs old) and later on blindness (at age 79) to continue to work and live independently until the end. He was an inspiration to his family and anyone who met him. He had a keen eye for beauty and was very creative. He had a love of music and movies and had a fantastic memory for remembering singers and actors. He loved to talk to anyone and he always had interesting stories or news. He was a very religious man and he was happy he lived a long life, well lived. Bill’s care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church on Friday morning, July 16 at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow at the Sand Point Public Cemetery.
