I met Gerry in 1976 at Sir Robert Borden High School. An excellent teacher, competent tradesman and, patient engaging man. Gerry taught me many of the skills I still use today. He collected woodworking tools & related ephemera for well over half a century. He knew what they were and, how to use them. I spent time learning from Gerry at a young age and, then again at a much older age. All the stories that went with his collecting and, time he spent in the company of others Gerry never stopped being a teacher. What a good quality of a man. Safe travels from here Gerald Herman Schultz.

It was with sadness and a sense of loss that we saw that Gerry had passed away. Gerry was a gifted man who generously, along with Ruth, shared those many gifts.
To all in Gerry's immediate and extended family we offer our sympathy and prayers for the hope and promises that God alone can provide.
With our love
Pastor Lawrence & Gail Eifert

My brother and I have fond memories of Uncle Gerry. When visiting our Grampa Hadke in Arnprior Uncle Gerry would take Phil&I to the park and then stop at the ice cream shop !
He was an avid photographer ,an antique tool collector ,expertise in reconstructing old log building to their beauty, and volunteer with the St John Ambulance.
He was a high school teacher at Sir Robert Borden in Ottawa and an architect.
A very devoted husband to our late Aunt Ruth.
He was a gentle soul and he will be missed!

I have very fond memories of Mr. Schultz as he was my father's across-the-hall neighbour at SRB (Dad taught graphic arts). As a child, I loved visiting the shop and can still remember the look, feel and smell of the woodworking room. The skills and talents of the teachers in that tech wing produced lots of great work that so many students (and others) benefited from. My condolences to all who loved him.
