Jeanette Grant

Obituary of Jeanette Grant

Our community lost a warrior and a friend on Sunday, August 15, 2021 when Jeanette Grant (nee White) passed away comfortably and on her own terms as ALS ravaged her body but not her spirit. A community volunteer her entire adult life, her contributions to the lives of many are too numerous to mention but more recently include being one of the founding members of the Arnprior Chestnuts Dragonboat team; a volunteer with the Arnprior Library and the Hospital Opportunity Shop; and knitting hats and mittens for the hospital. Her boundless love and affection for her pals and family and her tea-parties will be missed. Jeanette is survived by the loving communities of Arnprior and Guelph and by her husband of 55 years, David Grant; their children Cassandra and Ryan and their families including her grandchildren, Chase, Teagan and Lucas. Jeanette’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her loving friends and family including her beloved Red Hatter pals and Dragonboat teammates. A memorial party (Jeanette’s words) will be held once Covid restrictions permit a more natural interaction of family and friends to come together to hug and laugh and celebrate the indomitable spirit of Jeanette that will live on beyond her physical presence. Jeanette’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
