Obituary of Peter Cunningham

Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital with family by his side on Thanksgiving Monday, October 11, 2021. Peter John Cunningham of Ottawa and formerly of Renfrew was in his 63rd year. Predeceased by his parents, Mae and Glen. Dear brother of Wayne (Terry), Gerard (Patsy) and Paul (Maryanne). Predeceased by brothers: Harry and Gary (Sue). Loving "Uncle Pete" of many nieces and nephews. In spite of Pete's lifelong struggle with mental illness, he was able to work to help people who struggled with mental health and/or poverty issues through his volunteer work at the Shepherds of Good Hope in Ottawa as well as Soup Kitchens in Ottawa. Pete's final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A private family service will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish Cemetery, Renfrew. For those desiring, please consider a donation to the Shepherds of Good Hope, Ottawa.
