Obituary of Emile Bernard

(Retired Carpenter) With sadness, the family announces that Emile passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on Friday morning, November 19, 2021; Emilien Léonard Bernard of Arnprior was 88. Beloved husband for over 59 years of Anita (nee Quirion). Dearly loved father of Alain, Reine Bernard-Fortier, Serge, Nancy Flaherty (Steve) and Sylvain. Cherished and proud grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 8. One of 17 children born to Joseph and Marie-Blanche Bernard, Emile is survived by only one brother, Horace Bernard (Annette). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Emile’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where friends may visit on Tuesday evening, November 23rd from 6 to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday morning, November 24th from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. In memory of Emile, a donation the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation would be appreciated.
