Obituary of Pieter Dal

With sadness, the family announces that Pieter passed away peacefully at The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior in the early morning hours of Monday, January 17, 2022. He was 90. Beloved husband of the late Betje Dal (nee Klopmann) for 66 years. Much loved father of Jackie Laughlin (Brad) of Kinburn and Pieter Dal of Toronto. Dear Opa of Kayla, Travis and Blair Laughlin. Pieter is survived by extended family members most of whom reside in Holland. Pieter & Bep immigrated to Canada in 1957 and started their family in the Ottawa valley. He loved to entertain with friends and play his accordion. Passion for the outdoors, fishing, hunting and relaxing at his camp in Ompah. Private care and arrangements for Pieter have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
