Obituary of Edith Carty

(Retired Government of Canada) Peacefully at the Montfort Hospital, Ottawa on Sunday evening, January 30, 2022; Edith Mary Carty of Ottawa passed away at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Roger Carty. Much loved mother of Brian and Tony. Predeceased by her 3 daughters: Kimberly, Geraldine and Teresa. Dear sister of Robert Maggs (Sam), George Maggs, Billy Maggs, Ellen Fowler (Robert), Shirley Killert (Gordon), Betty Maggs, Ruthie Maggs, and many, many others. Loved grandmother of Michael, Stacey, Joshua, Cheyenne and Phiona. Aunt to multiple nieces & nephews like Brent Carty, Aline Brushett, Lisa (Curtis) Jones, and David (Janet) Carty, and many, many more. She was thankful for the Care and services she received through Julie Chen Wing of the Champlain Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) as well as the many PSW care groups involved in her care. She loved, cared for, and protected everyone. She was loved, cared for, and protected. She will be missed. Edith’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.
