Obituary of Margot Levy

(nee Herman) May 6, 1927 - April 8, 2022: It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of a remarkable lady, Margot Levy, just one month before her 95th birthday. A loving wife of the late Calman Levy; devoted mother of Elaine Orrbine (the late Brian) and the late Leon Levy (Janet); proud grandmother of Matthew Orrbine (Michelle Kealey) and Caroline Feggans (Scott Feggans), and adoring great grandmother of Madelyn & Stella Orrbine and Joanna Feggans. Margot was predeceased by her parents, Celia & Joe Herman, and five siblings, Sybil Wolff (Dave), Beatrice Silcoff (Maurice), Ben Herman (Toba), Lylia Zucker (Bill) & Frances Kaushansky (Jerry). Dedicated to her family throughout her life, Margot’s greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Margot was a dedicated community volunteer for multiple organizations throughout her lifetime, primarily focussed on those with mental health challenges; seniors in need as well as to young children as a story teller in her more senior years. A woman ahead of her time, Margot faced the many changes and challenges throughout her life with perseverance and grace. Margot nurtured most treasured friendships, a far-reaching extended family and unbreakable bonds. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those whose lives she touched. Her final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will take place on Wednesday afternoon, April 13th from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. A Service to honor Margot will be webcast live from the Pilon Family Chapel on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. Interment Sand Point Public Cemetery later in the Spring.
