Obituary of Gerald "Gerry" Cook

With heavy hearts the family announces that Gerry passed away peacefully following a sudden and unexpected illness at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Friday evening, April 29, 2022. He was 75. Beloved husband and best friend of Sharon (nee Kenney) of Woodlawn for almost 55 years. Cherished Dad of Ian (Elaine Hetherington) of Ottawa and Cathy (Steven Jones) of Carp. Special “Grampa” of Sean, Sarah and Max. Predeceased by an infant daughter Laurie Ann. Son of the late George and Lena (nee Wilkinson). Also survived by many nieces and nephews in England. A graveside service for Gerry will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery in Woodlawn on Friday, May 6^th at 2 o’clock. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception immediately following the service at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 616, 377 Allbirch Road in Constance Bay. In Gerry's memory, please consider a donation to the New Ottawa Hospital Carling Site.
