This is saying "Goodbye" to another first cousin. Yes, the years have passed quickly,but it oft times seems not that long ago when we would all meet at Mike and Dolly's for a gathering. Shirley was always a constant in her thinking and action and a true "Wall" to her aunts.uncles and cousins.. Condolences to the family. You were blessed to have Shirley in your life.-----Bob Wall. Shirley was the best nurse for standing up for residents rights and for providing the best medical care. Shirley advocated for each and every person she encountered. Shirley ran the Chronic Care Unit of ADMH like a family. We were privileged to have learned from her and to call her a Friend. We will be blessed by your memories ♥️

Wendy, Kevin, Steven and families, My deepest condolences to each of you and your families on the tremendous loss you must be feeling at your Mom’s passing. I had the pleasure and honour of working with Shirley for many years at the hospital. She demanded and ensured that the patients in her care were provided with the best nursing services and endeavoured to make sure all their needs were met. She was extremely professional and loyal to her patients, colleagues, and the hospital. Shirley was profoundly independent and utilized that independence and determination to successfully meet the many challenges life sent her way. She was also fiercely proud of you, her children and grandchildren, and was always happy to share your accomplishments with the rest of the world. I believe she lived a full and fulfilling life and I am positive she has left you with many memories to comfort you during this difficult time. A life well lived. R.I.P. Shirley Karen Townley

Wendy, Kevin, Stephen and families Our sincere sympathy on the loss of your mom. She was a strong, independent and proud person. We were always in awe when we saw her up on a ladder trimming the hedge, cutting the grass or shovelling after a big snow storm. Any offer of help was politely declined.
