Obituary of Jim Scobie

With grateful yet saddened hearts, the Scobie family of Arnprior announces that their Patriarch passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home while surrounded by love and loved ones on Thursday afternoon, July 21, 2022. He was in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Isabel (nee Horsburgh) Scobie. Loved father of Hugh (May), Sandra Quade (late Clarence), Jim (Karen), late Helen Nicholas (Dan), Isabel Bigras (Marc), Neil, late Robert (Sandra) and Eoin (Fanny). Cherished and lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Son of the late Arthur and Birdie (nee Bilson) Scobie. Jim was also predeceased by 4 sisters: Lorena, Margaret, Edith and Jean. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will take place on Monday evening, August 8th from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning, August 9th from 10 to 10:30. A Funeral Service will follow in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Arnprior on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock followed by interment at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 174, Arnprior are requested to assemble at the funeral home for a Legion Tribute to be held on Monday evening, August 8th at 6:30.
