Obituary of Jan McConnell

In the comfort of her own home and surrounded by family and lots of love, Jan passed away peacefully and with grace in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 30, 2022. She was 89. Predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend of almost 60 years, Carleton "Carl" McConnell (September 5, 2011). Dearly loved mother of Joe (Janice) of Kemptville; Charlene Chartrand (Marc) of Richmond and Tacey Cavanagh (Rick) of Kinburn. Predeceased by an infant son, Jeffrey Allen. Cherished and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Brent McConnell (Sarah Wenslawek), Kaylen Barker (Dale), Liane Powell (Michael), Kyle Chartrand (Leigh-Ann Lavery), Kristen "Krisse" Chartrand (Owen Anderson), Eddie Cavanagh (Ashley McMillan), Carly Pierce (Cory), Jeffrey Cavanagh and Bobby-Jo Cavanagh (Brian Thompson) as well as her great-grandchildren: Bryson, Livia, Westin, Reagan, Clayton, Jordyn, Rowan, Eirinn, Ebon, Rylee, Austin, Lawson and Sage. Dear sister of Dennis Drevinok (Mitch) of Russell. Daughter of the late Tony and Peggy (nee Pritchard) Drevinok. Jan was also predeceased by her sister, Doreen Séguin (Marcel of Luskville). Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for an old-fashioned at-home wake to be held at the homestead,  4298 John Shaw Road, Kinburn on Friday, August 5th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at which time a service to honour Jan will take place. Jan and Carl will be laid to rest together at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to her longtime friends at the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. For those wishing, a donation to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be greatly appreciated and may be made through the Pilon Family website.
