I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working directly with Melanie for a short time and she was part of our administrative group in the Strategic Policy Branch. We shared many laughs, conversations and thoughts. She was such a kind and wonderful person and she will be greatly missed. My heart and strength goes out to you all during this very difficult time.
I worked with Melanie for a short time at AAFC, and it was instantly clear what a beautiful soul she was. She will be dearly missed on our team. My heartfelt condolences to all of Melanie's family during this difficult time.

Mélanie was the sweetest cousin anyone could have. I have many fond memories of her that I will cherish and hold close to my heart. Both being only children, Mel and I bonded and laughed a lot together over the years. I'll miss her undeniable presence at the Bedard family Christmas party and summer family get-together, as well as her spinach dip and christmas cookies. One thing I'm certain of is that Mel loved her parents, her husband and her children beyond measure. She loved celebrating her family's accomplishments and she was so proud of her children. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

I worked with Melanie at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and first met her during the pandemic. She was a great colleague who always went the extra mile and always did a great job. We were invited for Thankgiving turkey three years ago, that was the first time I met Mel and the family. We were welcomed by open hearts, a wonderful turkey dinner and cookies to melt in your mouth.
