Obituary of David Strong
(Retired – Carleton Bus Lines)
Following a lengthy illness and struggle with Alzheimer’s, David Ernest Strong of Arnprior, a proud native of Fitzroy Harbour passed away peacefully at The Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior on Saturday evening, September 24, 2022. He was 77. Beloved son of the late Ernest and Lillian (nee Carr) Strong. Much loved brother of Jessie Beaudoin (Dennis) of Arnprior. Long-time friend of Fred Bayne of Toronto. He also leaves behind his kitty cat, Missy. David loved to drive. He was also an avid storyteller. In fact, most of the stories he told were about trips he took and roads he travelled when he was with Carleton Bus Lines in Kinburn. A debilitating stroke made it impossible for David to continue to drive several years ago. He spent the past 4 years in the loving care of the staff at The Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior. The family will remain forever grateful to the nurses and staff who provided such excellent treatment to David. His final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, September 28th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock. Interment St. George’s Anglican Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour. In his memory, please consider a donation to The Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior.
