I worked with Dan for many years. He was a sweet gentle man. I enjoyed working with someone who was a pure soul, not a bad bone in his body, for those that bothered to get to know him. Rest in peace Dan, and fly with the angels.

I had many conversations with Dan. He had a heart of gold and a wish for a pocketful of the same. He worked very hard for it. Dan was not afraid to speak his mind; something he would rarely do, but was unapologetic when he did. People of higher living and better means didn't have the soft and gentle countenance this man carried as his shield. Dan masko was a good man. May he Rest In Peace and find friendship, loyalty and love in the Heavens. Peter Cowling

Dan Masko was our mother’s ( Lydia Szukis) half brother. We were sad to hear of his passing. We have many memories of childhood visits to Lakeview Gardens (Marki Gardens) , owned and operated by Dan’s mother and father , Nick and Ella Masko. We went tobogganing down the back hills, swimming at Braeside Beach, and of course fishing. Dan had a real knack for fishing. A huge mounted pike hung on the wall in his mom’s kitchen for years. A few years ago his health took a bad turn and he went through a lot. We had many long phone calls and he shared how frightening it was to have the constant worry of poor health. Recently things seemed to look a little brighter and he had a positive attitude. Dan was a gentle kind hearted man and we will miss him. Rest In Peace. Kristy and Sylvia (Szukis)

When Danny & I were teenagers my brothers & I would spend 2weeks at the farm for several years. We had lots of fun fishing at the bay on the Ottawa River. My sympathies to his family. Mike Masko
