Obituary of Adi Kröpfel

With heavy hearts and great sadness, the family announces that our beloved Adi passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home in Arnprior in the early morning hours of Monday, October 10, 2022. He was 84. Beloved husband and best friend of Ann Walsh. Proud and much loved father of David (Sarah Kemp) of Ottawa, Harald Kropfel (Antonia) and Gerald Kropfel (Jomary), both of Austria. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins, mostly living in Austria and other parts of the world. Adi was the youngest of 11 children born to the late Matthias and Josefa Kropfel. He is survived by only one brother, Johann (Krista).

Adi was a most extraordinary husband, father and friend, a larger-than-life character full of energy, vitality and adventure. His warm welcoming smile, captivating charm, great sense of humour and most of all his boundless love of life and people touched countless lives. If you were lucky enough to call Adi friend or even just talk to him in passing - you could never ever forget him. He was and will forever be our one and only Adi.  His final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. and where a service will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock. Interment Malloch Road Cemetery. In his memory, please consider a donation to the Arnprior, Braeside and McNab Seniors at Home Program or the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
