Obituary of Paul Wyatt
With sadness, the family announces that Paul passed away peacefully at Almonte Country Haven on Monday afternoon, October 24, 2022. He was 82. Beloved husband of Lynn (nee St. Louis). Cherished father of Lori Shannon (Ted) of Hanmer and Graeme (Michelle) of Arnprior. Cherished and lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Elizabeth, Cameron and Eric. Dear brother of Margaret “Peg” Frederikse of Burk’s Falls and Jim Wyatt (Joy) of Bass River. Predeceased by a sister, Lynn Hamilton. Son of the late Melvin and Ena (nee Plaskett) Wyatt.
Paul was a dedicated, patient, kind and loving father, husband and friend. Paul was a member of the first graduating class from the University of Guelph's School of Landscape and Architecture. This degree took him on a career path with both the federal and provincial governments, a path that took him and his family all over the province of Ontario. Much of his career was spent with the Ministry of Natural Resources as a District Manager in the Sudbury and Espanola region.
Paul loved spending time with his family, doting on his grandchildren when they were together and teaching them his tricks, like how to get away with the extra treat at dinner time. Paul also loved his time spent with his Espanola friends, often taking up new activities in order to spend more time with this cherished group. Paul will be missed by everyone mentioned and more and will fondly be remembered for his fashionable statement in rubber boots.
Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. Visitation will be held on Friday morning, October 28th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. A Service to honour Paul will take place in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11 o’clock. Inurnment will follow at the Albert Street Cemetery in Arnprior. The service will be webcast live for those wishing to join us on their electronic devices. In Paul’s memory, a donation to Parkinson Canada would be appreciated.
