Obituary of Paul Fedy

(Retired Armed Forces – NATO)

 

It is with great sadness, the Fedy family announces that Paul passed away with family at his side at the Ottawa Hospital – General Campus on Thursday, November 24, 2022 following a brief illness; Paul Alexander Fedy of Arnprior was 83. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Landrigan). Dearly loved father of David Fedy, Brian Fedy (Lisa) and Debbie Fedy. Cherished Grandpa of Amanda Mannarino (Pat), Zachary Fedy, Scott Fedy and Cameron Fedy. Great Grandfather to Jaxon Mannarino. The last surviving child of the late Clifford Wilfred and Clementine Anna (nee Meyer) Fedy. Also predeceased by his brother, Father Charles Fedy (C.R.) and his sister, Barbara Harrigan (Gerry). Paul also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

After joining the Canadian Air Force in 1957 Paul was stationed in Metz France where he met his wife, Mary.  After the Air Force, Paul went to work for NATO in Newport News, Virginia.  Mary and Paul retired to Florida in 2005 and spent his final few years near his family in Arnprior.

Paul lived a life of faith, family and kindness.  He had a passion for gardening, golf, travel and the sun. Most of all he loved his family.  His love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandson was selfless and never ending. All who knew Paul loved and respected him. He will be dearly missed.

Pauls’ final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior on Friday morning, December 2nd at 11 o’clock. Interment at Beechwood National Military Cemetery later.
