Obituary of Geraldine Mask-Parent

(December 9, 1942 – December 15, 2022)

With profound sadness, the family announces that their beloved Geraldine passed away at the Ottawa Hospital – General Campus while surrounded by loved ones and prayers early Thursday morning, December 15, 2022. She was 80 years old. Beloved wife for over 59 years of Paul-André Parent. Much loved and proud mother of André Parent, Michael Parent (late Lisa) and Mary-Anne Parent (Paul). Dear sister of Larry Mask (Jacinthe) of Ottawa, Richard Mask (Kathy) of Calgary and Linda Marie Mask-Porter of North Bay. Predeceased by two brothers: Bob and Bernie Mask. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Bernard Michael Mask and the late Kathleen Phyllis White. The family wishes to thank the Cardiac Care Unit and the Palliative Care Team at the Ottawa General Hospital for their extraordinary care and support.

Geraldine’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5^th, 2023, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Ottawa’s Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, 385 Sussex Drive, Ottawa on Friday morning, January 6^th at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon in the Parish Hall.

Private family interment at the Malloch Road Cemetery, Arnprior following the luncheon.
