Played a lot of Friday night hockey with Charlie over the years, enjoyed a pint ot two together, lots of parties out at Brannigan's & Big Joe's. Also worked with Charlie at Boeing and AAI, where were both shop stewards in the union and shared many interesting times at negotiations and at meetings. Charlie was approachable, personable and always had a positive outlook on things. He had a great sense of humour and was quick to share a story or a joke to lighten a mood and bring the Friday night hockey lads to laughter in the dressing room. Sending heartfelt condolences to Carrie and Charlies family.

My heartfelt sincere condolences to Carrie and Janice. Charlie and I grew up together in the same community, went to public school together and shared a school bus to take us to Fitzroy Public. A few good memories of a childhood gone by, Charlie will be missed by many. Hold you memories close to your heart in these most difficult days.

Dear Janice and family, so very sorry to hear about Charlie. He was a great friend and a great neighbour. I remember growing up that Charlie would give me a silver dollar on my birthday and I would always give him a silver dollar on his birthday - not sure if it was the same coin or not, but it sure brings back wonderful memories! Loved spending time at his house when we were kids. It was there where I seen my very first colour program on television. I went home afterwards and could not understand why Charlie's tv showed programs in colour and our tv did not. Going to miss him. Rest in peace brother.
