Obituary of Jim Okum

(Retired – Smiths Construction)

 

Jim passed away at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Tuesday morning, December 27, 2022; James Samuel “Jim” Okum of Arnprior was 92 years of age. Loved father of Lynn Demell (Chad); grandfather of T.J. MacRae and Patrick MacRae (Alysia Fiebig) and great-grandfather of Harper and Hazel. Jim was the last surviving child of the late Samuel and Martha (nee Berndt) Okum of McNab Township. He was predeceased by his 4 siblings: Wilbert Okum (late Audrey) (Marjorie), Mabel Camp (late Robert), Esther Danyluck (late Jack) and John Okum (late Bea). Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Jim’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd, 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A private family graveside service will take place at the Flat Rapids Cemetery, McNab/Braeside in the Spring of 2023.
