Obituary of Meryle Rebertz
(nee Sparling)
(May 26, 1931 – December 31, 2022)
With heavy yet grateful hearts, the Rebertz family of Arnprior announce that their Matriarch passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital while surrounded by love and prayers on Saturday evening, December 31, 2022.
Meryle Eva Eileen Rebertz was in her 92nd year. Beloved and devoted wife and best friend of the late Hilliard Rebertz (March 21, 2019). Much loved and proud mother of Helen Desjardins (Neil), Barry (Lise), Sheila Gauthier (late Barrie), Brian (Karen), Dale (Nancy), Royce, Ronnie (Jeanne), Floyd (Kerry), Ward (Lucy), Kerry
(Gloria) and Kevin (Tammy).
Cherished and forever loved grandmother of: Jennifer, Thomas, Shawn, Shane, Lynn, Robbie, Lorrie, late Jason, Katie, Chad, Crystal, Karine, Austin, Tyler, Taylor and great-grandmother of: Bryce, Clarke, Chloe, Hailey, Kersten, Brooke, Gavan, Evan, Selena, Cody and Elleri.
Dear sister of Joyce Beaudoin (late Hubert), Lynn Kluke (Lloyd) and Norma Sparling (Claude Bertrand). Predeceased by 2 brothers: Warren Sparling (Florence) and Wilson Sparling as well as 3 sisters: Erma Hill (late Bill), Mildred Lance (late Willard) and infant May Sparling. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many wonderful people she loved to call friends.
Meryle was a soft spoken lady who enjoyed life. She was happiest when spending time together with family and friends. She was a loyal wife, Mom and Grandma who always had a kind word for everyone she met. Her love and kindness will surely be missed. The family take great comfort in knowing she has been reunited forever with her beloved Hilliard.
Meryle’s final arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation was held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. only.
A Private Family Funeral Service was conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel on Thursday morning, January 5, 2023 at 11 o’clock.
The service was webcast live for family and friends to join in from their electronic devices.
A joint spring interment took place for Hilliard and Meryle in the family plot at St. James Cemetery, Otter Lake, Quebec.
