Obituary of Edna McMillan

(nee Cunningham)

With heavy hearts, the family announces that Edna passed away at Hospice Renfrew with Keith and Margaret by her side on Sunday evening, March 12, 2023;

Florence Edna McMillan of McNab/Braeside was 89.

Beloved wife of William “Willie” for almost 68 years. Much loved and caring mother of Keith (Margaret Stewart) and the late Kevin McMillan (November 14, 2015).

Much loved “Nanny” of Jake Smithson. Dearest sister of Laura Fraser (late Charlie), Libby McLean (late Ray) and the late Myrtle Graham (late Carl). Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Special “Old Nanny” to David and William “Wee Fatty” Bennett. Daughter of the late Bill and Gertrude Cunningham. Edna will be remembered as a quiet and humble soul. She spent many years proudly working at Gallilee Retreat Centre in Arnprior doing everyday chores and housekeeping while bringing cheer to fellow workers and attendees. Edna took great pleasure in the simpler things in life. She will be missed.

Her final care has been entrusted to the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior.

Visitation was held on Monday evening, March 20^th from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45.

A Funeral Service took place in the Pilon Family Chapel on Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock  (the service was webcast live).

Reception followed. Interment White Lake Cemetery.
