Obituary of Basil Chabot

February 10, 1944 – April 18, 2023

Peacefully at The Grove Nursing Home on Tuesday evening, April 18, 2023 Basil passed away at the age of 79.

Cherished father of Laura Chabot (Ronald Miljour). Dear son of the late Joseph Theodore “Ted” Chabot and Veronica Kluke, both formerly of Bristol Mines. Dearly loved brother of Beverly van der Grift (Frans). Basil was also predeceased by three brothers and his only sister: Bernie Chabot, Alfred Chabot (Judy), Arnold Chabot, and Marilyn Gosselin (Armand). Basil is fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Former husband of the late Gail Chabot (nee Dagenais, 2016).

Friends are invited to join Basil’s family during a visitation at the

Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior

on Thursday morning, May 18^th from 9:30 to 11 o’clock.

We will then proceed to St. Charles Boromeo Cemetery in Otter Lake QC for a Graveside Interment Service at 1 o’clock.

Luncheon followed at the Otter Lake Recreation Centre.
