Obituary of Tanner Jake Hiemstra

With sadness, the family announces that Tanner Jake passed away at the Ottawa Hospital – Civic Campus on Monday morning, May 8, 2023;

Tanner Jake Hiemstra of Ottawa was only 35.

Loved son of Thérèse “Terri” Dueck (Russell) of Arnprior and the late Robert Hiemstra. Dear brother of his twin, Kyle Hiemstra and his sister, Shannon Hiemstra, both of Ottawa. Dear grandson of Gilbert and Grace Hiemstra of Ottawa. Fondly remembered by his partner and good friend, Fiona Rowan as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In spite of the many struggles he faced in life, Tanner Jake always tried to make the best of the situations he faced. In the end, he has given others a fighting chance by being an organ donor. He will now live on in others.
