Obituary of Doug Harris

January 24, 1967- June 7, 2023

 

After bravely struggling for 23 years with MS and many months of hospitalization, Doug passed away at Arnprior Hospital on Wednesday June 7, 2023. 

He is survived by his wife Debbie of  White Lake; parents Shirley Ross of Kincardine and Jim Harris of London; brother Ron (Carly) of Toronto; son Brandon and daughter Jessica both of Ottawa. 

Predeceased by grandparents Grandma Jean and Hal Bain and Lola and Goldie Harris; infant brother John; his loved furry friends Duke, Bear & Coco and very special friend Dan Shaw.

Doug spent his childhood in Kincardine participating in hockey, soccer, lacrosse and figure skating, but his favourite time was spent fishing on the boat trying to catch that “special one”. 

After graduating from Fanshaw College in London, Doug went to work as property management with Government of Canada. 

He was most proud of his projects with the Supreme Court and the War Memorial.

A private family memorial gathering will be held at the home of his mom in Kincardine. His smile will be forever in our hearts.
