Ernie was a long time mainstay with the sports scene in Pakenham and my fondest memory were the years that he managed our fastball team that won the Ontario Juvenile Championship and then followed that up with a second place finish in the Ontario Junior Championships. He kept us calm and focused with his even demeanour.

Rob and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to all of the Whyte family. It is hard to put into words what Bill meant to the our family ..... he was so much a part of it! I will always remember "Ernie" at his finest, when he was a member of the Swagman Motorcycle Club with Peter and friends. They were quite the guys! RIP Ernie ... you will be missed.
