Omer Poirier was one of a kind. A loving husband to Clare, a great father to Dan, Michel & Marc. He was a special grandfather to Paul, MacKaila, David and Erin. He always made me feel welcome and treated me as a family member. I spent many Christmas’s and holidays in Arnprior. After Clare’s death I called him once a month. We had great conversations and I will miss his “Hi Ma Tante”. Dan Michell and Marc he appreciated all you did for him and often said how lucky he was to have his 3 Sons looking after him. Omer was larger than life. He will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Omer. Estelle

I am saddened to hear of Omer’s passing. My late husband Grant and I were good friends of Omer and Clare from the years following RMC. They were such a lovely couple . Clare ,back in early 1962 very thoughtfully made Omer a St. Patrick’s Day dinner made extra special when she used green food colour for the potatoes and vegetables. It was going well until he took the top off the butter dish to see the green butter. We had a good laugh over this ! It was great to see them both at the RMC reunions. .My condolences to the whole family. Dorothy Mosher

Nancy and I were saddened to learn of the passing of Omer, RMC classmate and friend. He was fun to be around and we always enjoyed Omer's company.
