The Dickie's were neighbour s of ours when they lived on Tobin. Michael and Debra always made time for my brother when he came to town. Condolences to the family

My deepest condolences to Deborah and the entire Dickie family. Mike and I were very good friends during high school, and after university, we became roommates for several years at brother David's fixer-upper property on Anna Ave. Many weekends we would find ourselves at the Dickie family home on Willola Beach Rd, drinking brother Jeffrey's home-made beer, then heading over to Quyon in the motorboat, to spend the night at Gavan's Hotel. I'll miss you, buddy.

I have been very fortunate in my life to have had several people pass through that were more than just merely friends. Several of these people were like adopted Mothers or Fathers but Michael was my only adopted Brother. What started out over 15 years ago as a Landlord/Tenant relationship became far more than that when Michael and Deborah welcomed me not only as a tenant but as a trusted friend. No matter what was going on, I knew I could count on Mike to help if it was at all possible. When I bought my house, next door to the little house that I rented from them, it was quickly coming on winter. Mike took several vacation days from work to help me get the place ready for winter so I wouldn't freeze. A friend wouldn't do that, a Brother would and did. Mike and Deborah stood by me when I lost my sister and again when I lost two brothers, a better friend no one could ever ask for. It's still too early to grasp that we'll never share Christmas dinner again or hear him lovingly refer to his sweetheart as Mrs. Peebles. Rest in Peace my friend. I will always treasure our memories made on Moorhead.
Deborah and Family, please accept our condolences. We are so sorry to hear of Mikes passing. He was a kind and gentle person, wonderful neighbour, and friend who welcomed us to the community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
